Editorial Standards & Corrections

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Schlafkontrolle publishes general information about sleep, wellbeing and everyday routines, as well as information about products sold in the store. This page sets the standard for new and substantially revised material. Older material is being brought into line with this standard when it is reviewed; publication alone should not be taken to mean that every existing page has already completed a formal review.

Who is responsible

The store is operated by Dmytro Bukhtaiev trading as Schlafkontrolle. Schlafkontrolle remains responsible for the material it publishes. A named byline identifies the person responsible for an article where an individual author is assigned. A byline does not imply a medical qualification, and we do not add credentials, expert reviewers or professional titles unless they can be verified.

Scope and medical boundary

Our content is for general information and shopping guidance. It is not medical advice and is not a diagnosis or treatment. Products may support comfort or an everyday routine, but they cannot guarantee sleep or a health outcome. Questions about symptoms, medicines or treatment should be discussed with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Sources and accuracy

For health-adjacent statements, our standard is to prefer primary or authoritative sources, such as public authorities, regulators, recognised clinical guidance and original research. Secondary sources may be used for context. Relevant sources should be placed close to the statement they support, and uncertainty or disagreement should be made clear. A source is not treated as an endorsement of a product.

Product information and commercial interest

Schlafkontrolle sells the products described in its store and therefore has a commercial interest in product content. Product specifications and performance claims should be included only when supported by evidence appropriate to the claim, such as exact-product manufacturer or supplier documentation, a product manual, compliance documentation, or a direct observation or measurement. Unsupported claims should be removed, withheld or clearly qualified. We do not turn supplier marketing copy into a health claim or promise that a product will diagnose, treat or cure a condition.

Authorship and updates

Where an article has an individual author, we use that person’s real name and do not invent a biography, qualification or review role. A separate “Updated” date is used only after a substantive review of the article’s meaning, evidence or guidance. Layout, tagging or other technical changes alone do not count as an editorial update.

Corrections

If you believe something is inaccurate, email info@schlafkontrolle.com with the page URL, the statement in question and, where possible, the source or evidence we should consider. We assess the issue and correct confirmed factual errors as soon as reasonably practicable. For a material correction, our standard is to make the change transparent by noting what changed and when; minor spelling, formatting and broken-link fixes may be made without a separate notice.

Use of AI assistance

AI tools may be used as an aid for outlining, drafting, copy-editing or translation. AI output is not evidence and does not establish a fact. Schlafkontrolle remains responsible for what is published, including checking material against the underlying source or product information. This disclosure does not claim that every existing page has undergone the same formal workflow.
